Paul I planted them last year in November but the frost nipped them the first time so I put s piece of bubble wrap over the top of the polypot and hey presto they survived. I did not water during periods of freezing weather as the water would have set solid in the bag and damaged everything in the bag.

You should have a furtle about in the bags and see if you can feel any tubers Paul.

Darren I found some Purple Eyed Seedling in the bottom of a polypot that I had left in the greenhouse over the winter. I have planted them in a potato planter today just to see how quickly they will grow. If you are working your soil every year then it is not too bad but the first year you have to do it is when it is really hard work. I have to admit that I use a 3m wide power harrow on the back of a Massey Ferguson tractor when I do my plot over.
